There are two layers to a phone screen: the glass you touch and the display beneath. Sometimes only the glass is cracked; sometimes the display shows lines, bleeding colour or black patches. Either way, on most modern smartphones the two are replaced together as one assembly.
Once it’s in, we test touch at every edge and check Face ID or fingerprint unlock still work. You’ll be able to see the result before paying.
Kids’ tablets take a lot of knocks. A cracked iPad or Galaxy Tab doesn’t have to be replaced: our tablet repair service covers glass, display and touch faults.

Plenty of people carry on with a cracked screen for months. The trouble is that small cracks grow, and every new knock makes them worse. Shards of glass can lift and catch a finger, and the gaps let in dust and moisture. Eventually the display underneath can fail too, sometimes suddenly, leaving you unable to unlock the phone at all.
